Overview

The 2009 Kia Amanti is an elegant sedan that comes with a lengthy warranty and an impressive list of luxury features. This premium midsize sedan was revamped for 2007 and continues largely unchanged for the new model year 2009. It is available in one trim level.

Power and performance

The Amanti comes with a 3.8-liter V-6 that provides 264 hp and 260 pound-feet of torque. The only transmission remains a 5-speed automatic. Fuel economy is rated at 17/24 mpg (city/highway).

Body and styling

The 2009 Kia Amanti is a sedan that features a two-tone color scheme, wood and alloy trims, and comfortable seating for its low-price. The luxury car has generous levels of standard equipment which include premium amenities such as dual-zone automatic temperature control, power windows, heated leather seats (optional), and an Infinity music system. Power-adjustable pedals, a driver-seat memory system, and a sunroof are optional.

Safety Features

The 2009 Amanti comes with eight airbags which include dual front advanced airbags, front and rear seat-mounted side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. A tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), anti-pinch windows, airbag and seat-belt latch sensors, four-wheel disc brakes, and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution are also standard. The Kia Amanti earned highest ratings in Side Impact Evaluations by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
