What is the J.D Power Dependability Award?

Each year, J.D. Power puts several vehicles through the dependability test and selects a winning make that has shown it has had the least amount of problems from its owners. It takes a survey of over 80,000 owners and sees which brand is proving that its drivers can easily rely on the model when they are behind the wheel. On top of that, it looks at the types of problems owners are having within the first three years and makes its choice on which manufacturer had the lowest reported problems within the preceding 12 months. In the end, the results are compiled for every segment, including sedans, compact cars, compact SUVs, trucks, and more, to make the final decision and give the stamp of approval to one drivers can count on.

In 2021, Kia was awarded the 2021 J.D Power Dependability for several of its segments.
