What warranties are included in Kia's program? The Kia 10-year/100,000-mile warranty program¹ consists of various limited warranties, including a 5-year/60,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty², a 5-year/100,000-mile Limited Anti-Perforation Warranty³, a 5-year/60,000-mile Roadside Assistance⁴, an EV System Warranty⁶, and an EV Battery Coverage⁷.

What does the New Vehicle Warranty cover? The 5-year/60,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty² covers most vehicle components and systems from the date of first service, and applies to factory defects, covering most repairs and replacements due to workmanship or material defects. 

What does the Powertrain Warranty cover? The 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty¹ covers the engine, transmission, and transaxle, starting from the vehicle's original in-service date. Is the 10-year/100,000-mile warranty transferable to a second owner? The 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty¹ is transferable to whoever purchases a Certified Pre-Owned Kia.

What does the Anti-Perforation Warranty cover? The 5-year/100,000-mile Limited Anti-Perforation Warranty³ protects against rust and corrosion, specifically covering perforation from the inside out due to factory defects.

Does Kia offer Roadside Assistance? Kia's 5-year/60,000-mile Roadside Assistance⁴ is provided on all new 2025 model Kia vehicles from the date of delivery to the first retail buyer, and includes towing to the nearest authorized Kia dealer or an alternative service location in the event of a warranty-related disablement while driving down I-35 or elsewhere. There is no limit to the number of roadside assistance incidents covered per car or driver. 

What about Trip Interruption coverage? Trip interruption⁵ expense benefits are provided in the event that a warranty-related disablement occurs more than 150 miles from the customer's home and the repairs require more than 24 hours to complete. Reasonable reimbursement can be provided for meals, lodging, or rental car expenses. 

Does Kia's warranty cover electric vehicles (EVs)? Kia's EV System Warranty⁶ covers key EV components including the electric motor, high voltage battery, electric power control unit (EPCU), and on-board charger for 10 years or 100,000 miles. Additionally, Kia's Battery Coverage⁷ protects against capacity loss below 70 percent of original capacity for 10 years or 100,000 miles.

What is NOT covered by the warranty? The warranty does not cover maintenance items such as oil changes, filters, tires, belts, and brakes, though adhering to the recommended maintenance schedule for these is advised to keep the warranty intact and ensure your trips to Brackenridge Park are uneventful.
